A Star Named Rita ft. Rita Rucker

This week I have on actress Rita Rucker, you may have seen her as Chante on BET's "Being Mary Jane", Delores on FX's "Snowfall", and currently playing Carrina in BET's "Twenties" just to name a few, she big time y'all. Rita is an actor and activist focusing her energies on portraying genuinely depth stories of black women as well as working in dismantling the oppressive system that is human & sex trafficking. We discussed the heaviness of being black on screen, being a black woman inspiring the community, and the stories we want to see told on screen.
