This week's Send It On call to action is for men to contribute to the hashtag that is #blackmenadmit speaking to their oppressive mistakes or behavior. In addition to start to truly hold each other accountable for resolving and protecting our issues with the black people we have harmed. #AllBlackLivesMatter

400 Years: 1619 Project review
Monday Aug 26, 2019
Monday Aug 26, 2019
August 2019 we must commemorate the first 20-30 West Africans who were forced into perpetual bondage this month in 1619. Peabody award recipient and MacArthur Genius Fellow Nikole Hannah-Jones lead a group of journalist, writers, and poets to create a journalistic piece of work they simply call the 1619 Project distributed through New York Times Magazine. I read several significant quotes from Nikole's introductory essay. This is a moment where we honor our ancestors and become more aware of how their struggle brought us to a place where we speak louder, dream bigger, and reach higher. Below are direct links to the piece as well as additional teaching aids and link to the official podcast accompanying the project. Thanks for listening please Rate, Review, Subscribe and Share.

Lukewarm Summer Ft. Taylor Crenshaw
Thursday Jul 18, 2019
Thursday Jul 18, 2019
This week I have Taylor Crenshaw returning to speak more on the "Rules we Create" by speaking towards the new mood for the summer coined by the hottest rapper out today Megan Thee Stallion, that being Hot Girl Summer. Black twitter has does what it does and anty up the stakes of Hot Girl summer by keeping score and trying to redefine it to fit their lack luster lives of all work and no play. Taylor breaks down how this is a time for women to stand up in their worth and live a little better yet live a lot more because the summer is looking bleak more like lukewarm...

The topic should be obvious, seeing how there is this strange craze of clout chasing with Kroger sales items, its stranger world we live in but stranger things oddly have happened on the internet in the pursuit of clout I ask why do people want attention in this way is it society or do we all just want to go viral... Been away because of those irritable creative blocks so, in the act of being optimistic why not make a negative a positive and create content on the very topic. I looked to our favorite resource Google to come across a article linked below by Susan K. Perry Phd., we must be cousins, but I go through tips of getting through creative blocks and highlighted my everyday life blocks that I believe impede progress, I believe this is a helpful one for us all enjoy...

This week I'm back with a quick evergreen episode. I wanted to set the record straight on how to approach people who share your race but don't share the ideal of the advancement of your specific ethnic group. Biggest example in the news lately was Candace Owens and the rhetoric she proclaimed at the Congressional hearing centered around the rise of Hate Crime in the past few years, check out the links below for others that were featured and provided a real historically factual argument on how hate crimes is apart of the fiber of America.

Monday Mar 25, 2019
This week I give my take on the highly debated philosophical question of " Should we Separate the art from the artist ? " My girl inspired this topic due to the interesting series of events I believed my confliction let me to do more research and I stumbled on an article by Vox.com written by Constance Grady. I believe that it ultimately directed me to the conclusion that this isn't one that is black or white but forever grey... Enjoy and share and review

We unpacked another worthy topic of recognizing your potential, challenging your beliefs to reach your new levels of self-mastery and understanding that your destiny is in your control. We also had to speak on sonic masterpiece that is "When I Get Home" by Solange which served as the theme for this episode. The takeaway is that we are all gifted and special but we must see that we are our biggest barrier to growth...

What's Reality ??
Monday Feb 18, 2019
Monday Feb 18, 2019
This week I ask a simple question, How does media distort reality ? Our news comes with more than just facts. With the emergence of phrases like fake news, alternative facts, political correctness, etc. it makes it so hard to consume the facts on current events. The cloudiness of news and other forms of media has the nation divided by platforms. Let me know who you trust for information now, see links mentioned below.
